Canadian Club® Whisky Renews Sponsorship with Andretti Green Racing for the 2007 IndyCar® Series Season
Canadian Club to be Major Sponsor of the No. 27 Car

Deerfield, Ill. - February 20, 2007 - Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. a unit of Fortune Brands (NYSE: FO), and Canadian Club® Canadian whisky, the number two Canadian whisky in the world, announced today that it will continue its sponsorship with Andretti Green Racing (AGR) for the 2007 IndyCar® Series season. Canadian Club will be the major sponsor of the No. 27 car driven by Dario Franchitti. Canadian Club, in its second season of partnership with AGR, will also be an associate sponsor on AGR's IndyCar Series entries driven by Tony Kanaan and Danica Patrick and an associate sponsor of the #26 XM Satellite Radio American Le Mans Series® car.

"We are very excited about the continuation of our partnership with Andretti Green Racing and Dario Franchitti for the 2007 season," said Dennis Prado, Canadian Club senior director. "The Canadian Club racing program was very successful in 2006 bringing our brand to core markets through the IndyCar Series and we are looking forward to making it more effective for the brand in 2007 by becoming the major sponsor for the No. 27 car. The IndyCar Series aligns well with the core Canadian Club brand attributes and it appeals to our target consumers."

"The IndyCar Series also provides a highly visible platform for our drink smart® social responsibility program," continued Prado. "Andretti Green Racing has been an excellent partner for our company and Dario has been a terrific spokesperson for the Canadian Club brand. We're thrilled to have such a highly acclaimed driver representing our award winning Canadian whisky. We are looking forward to a very successful season in 2007 both on and off the track."

Canadian Club will continue to leverage its racing sponsorship to raise awareness of and to educate consumers about responsible consumption. Through its drink smart® platform, the company reminds consumers of legal purchase age of three important rules: 1) if you're under 21, don't drink; 2) if you're of legal purchase age and choose to drink, do so in moderation; and 3) never drive drunk. In support of drink smart®, all communications materials as well as Dario's firesuit and car will bear the drink smart® icon. Also, a Canadian Club drink smart®-branded street-legal two-seater car will travel to race markets across the U.S. to ensure that the drink smart® tenets remain top-of-mind.

"It is very important to us that Canadian Club has returned for the 2007 season. We've had a long relationship with Beam Global Spirits & Wine and we appreciate their support and activation," stated Michael Andretti, chairman of Andretti Green Racing. "Dario has proven over and over that he is one of the very best drivers in the world and we're happy he's going to return to the IndyCar Series. He is a fantastic leader and, along with Tony Kanaan, will continue to provide a lot in the development areas AGR is working on."

Franchitti, who owns four IndyCar Series victories and three poles, is the most winning British driver in American open-wheel history. He has 14 victories and 14 pole positions in his open-wheel career. This will be Franchitti's 10th season involved with the Andretti Green family. He spent five seasons with Team Green before joining Andretti Green Racing in 2003.

Andretti Green Racing, which is owned by Michael Andretti, Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, is the winningest team in Indy Racing League history.

This will be the second season for Canadian Club's involvement in the IndyCar Series after the brand joined AGR at the 2006 Indianapolis 500 and for the remaining races of the 2006 schedule. A member of the Beam Global Spirits & Wine family, Canadian Club is one of the largest and most prominent Canadian whisky brands in the world. The brand features Canadian Club® 6-year old, Canadian Club® Reserve, Canadian Club® Sherry Cask and Canadian Club® Classic(r) 12-year old.
